When creating a lesson plan it is important to keep the students engaged. A good way to do this would be with a hands on activity. Many technology projects are hands on because the students have to navigate through a specific tool to create their own design. The technology tool doesn't always have to be something the students create. In my first lesson I created an online survey quiz for the students to take about reading and language arts. This type of quiz is more exciting for the students. The next technology piece I incorporated in my lesson plan was a glogster. I had the students find the cause and effects in a story and then go online and create a glogster, which resembles a poster board. The student can put words, pictures, songs, and YouTube videos on this tool to create their project. The last lesson I did was about the Mayflower and I created a facebook page where I posted a short video we watched in class and also a small quiz to take. This facebook page also encourages collaboration because if students have questions they can ask their classmates through this page.
